EIA 2020 Fundraiser for New Hope sponsored by Neesham

EIA 2020 Fundraiser sponsored by Neesham · 24 September 2020
Each year, the Electronics Industry Awards aims to give a little back in the form of a charity fundraiser. While we can't all gather together in one room for an evening of celebration, we believe it's more important than ever for us to do what we can to raise funds for a very worthy cause.
This year, our fundraising partner Neesham PR selected New Hope as our chosen charity.
For people sleeping rough, COVID has been a particular challenge. New Hope has worked with the government to provide temporary accommodation during lockdown to people who were street homeless. The majority of those people were able to either remain in accommodation or move to more permanent accommodation elsewhere. However, not everyone wanted to be in temporary accommodation, some were asked to leave, and others became homeless during lockdown. The charity has been working with people on are street homeless throughout the year and is predicting thatnumbers will increase over the coming months.
Based in Watford, New Hope is one of the largest providers of homelessness services in the Home Counties, housing up to 60 people every night and supporting over 600 people each year. They had 111 different individuals stay (for at least one night) at their winter night shelter which ran from 1 December to 15 March (it was forced to close early because of the risk of COVID-transmission).
On behalf of the Electronics Industry Awards and our fundraising partner Neesham PR, please give what you can to help New Hope continue their fantastic work.
