We are a day resource for adults with learning disabilities. Our aims are to encourage and promote independent living for adults with learning disabilities, to help develop their independence and to lead ordinary, fully inclusive lives with their community. To learn new and improve skills.

Story

On Sunday I will be running my first half marathon. I've done the training so I'm confident I can do it. But it will be my longest run to date. So to keep me going when things get tough I thought I'd try and raise some money for a small charity local to Skye and Lochalsh.

Kyleakin Connections aim to encourage independent living for people with learning disabilities, to help develop their independence and to lead ordinary, fully inclusive lives within the community.

They offer a safe environment where people can come together to learn new skills and improve existing skills.

Activities in addition to operating a Cafe, include life skills, educational work, cooking, arts & crafts, projects, conservation, gardening, gaining various qualifications, outdoor pursuits, IT work, partnerships with other bodies, and much much more.
