Story
This is my beautiful 10 year old daughter. She has forever been a straight A student .her dream has been to go to St Dominic grammer school .in September this year i noticed her grades took a dramatic dip . I went to the school got advice they thought it was nerves .i got a tutor and done everything to boost her confidence and self esteem . She couldnt understand why she couldnt grasp things she was learning and forgetting things. On the 27th of october 2017 she collapsed. Brought her to A&E they done tests told me she was fine and sent us home from hospital .Eva collapsed a several times from the 27th and we got sent home every time . I started demanding an mri ,because i knew something was far from right . After another six "fainting epsiodes"I got a date for an mri the 24th of November the day our life changed .my heart broke we were told that are beautiful kind and caring daughter had a mass in her left temporal lobe and they didnt know what it was .i sat in a daze not knowing what to tell my child.. ,what to tell her when the neurologist couldnt tell us.we were admitted to hospital ,one week later she had a cerebral angiogram a procedure that goes in through the main artery in her groin to find out what was growing it was in her brain . It soon became a nightmare when neurovascular surgeon told us that this was fatal and he might not be able to save my child .the "Fainting epsiodes" had infact been mini strokes .there were that many bleeds "it was like layers in an onion" were the words he used, then a rupture of the aneursym had caused a massive stroke and massive bleed that would leave her with brain damage .we were told the surgery had went well ..it was now a waiting game .its was and is a miracle shes here .she spent a time in icu were she surprized doctors everyday . Shes left with learning difficulties ..no short term memory ..senory issues ...weakness in her right side ..visual impairment ..doesnt sleep .. just to name a few of the problems we face .there is one in a million chance that this happened to my child .whats to say i wont happen to yours . We need to raise awareness and funds to support research and families that are less fortunate than me . I have my child the next child or adult might not be so lucky .Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
