Downe Residential Project - Mizen to Malin Head · 8 July 2011 ·

Mainstay DRP is a charity based in the Downpatrick area who provide care for vulnerable adults with learning disabilities and autism. We're really proud of what we do - opening doors for adults with learning disabilities, and supporting them to achieve independence.

Story

Guys,

We need your help!

Rochelle and I are taking part in the charity Elite Cycle Challenge from Mizen Head to Malin Head in aid of Mainstay DRP in July.

35 people from around Ireland are taking part in the cycle to raise money for the construction of a major new purpose built development in Downpatrick, Co. Down.

The charity provides residential care, respite care, supported housing, day care and vocational care for both people with Autism and other Learning Difficulties and for their families.

The charity needs to raise in excess of £1 million to pay for the construction of its new complex. My employer, Amey Consulting, have agreed to match fund every penny we raise – so your money will go twice as far! So dig deep and give to this very worthy charity!

Elite Cycle Challenge 8th – 13th July 2011

A journey from Mizen Head, County Cork to Malin Head, County Donegal has become a favourite journey for enthusiastic cyclists and walkers from across the world.  As the crow flies, the two points are 289 miles apart, however, our route will take us along 430 miles of Ireland’s most picturesque roads and through some of the most beautiful towns, villages and areas of outstanding beauty.
