Hello!

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I'm Ela and I’m really excited to tell you that I have been selected to volunteer in Sierra Leone with Y-Care International on an ICS placement. ICS volunteers work together in small teams over three months to tackle social exclusion and poverty in some of the world’s poorest communities.

I will be working on a range of projects that help young men and women within local communities. This could include running workshops to help young people develop skills for employment, building schools in rural areas, engaging young people in global and national issues and more.

The first part of my placement is a challenge to raise £800 towards the work of Y-Care International. The money raised will go towards ensuring they can to continue sending youth volunteers to the developing world to make a lasting difference in disadvantaged communities - none of the funds will contribute to the cost of my trip.
