WE DID IT. It was cold, grey & wet so we missed out on the views which was a pity. Apart from stiff legs we are all in pretty good shape, have caught up on sleep & I'm back in heels!! If I never see Scafell Pike again it will be too soon. Thank you for your support & generosity. That's what kept me going to the ever moving top of Scafell Pike. I've updated the photos which give a whole new meaning to a 'bad hair' day!! Thanks to work colleagues for feeding my snazzy piggy bank to the tune of £120. There is also £320.13 in gift aid to be added to the total.

When asked if I’d be prepared to do the 3 peaks one weekend to raise money for a cancer charity, I immediately said yes as having recently lost my mother to cancer, I appreciated the huge developments in medicine over the length of her battle. I was built without the sporting gene so the training has been challenging & I prefer high heels to hiking boots!!
We will be climbing the 3 highest peaks in Scotland, England & Wales. We start with Ben Nevis & then head south to Scafell Pike & finish at Snowdon. We will be walking 40km, climbing a total of almost 3,000 vertical metres, driving 480 miles between the peaks & snatching 40 winks on the bus as the aim is to complete it all within 24 hours. My friend omitted to tell me that when I signed up!!
We are raising money for UCL Hospitals Charitable Foundation which is the main fundraising charity for key research, equipment & building across all University College London Hospitals (UCLH). The scope of UCLH fundraising reflects the diversity of the hospitals’ specialities. The main focus is currently on cancer which has a significant meaning to many of us on the team.
