Wag & Company is a registered charity operating across the North East of England. We enable professionally assessed volunteers and their special dogs to befriend older dog lovers who miss friendship and the company of a dog.Over 50,000 older people in our region are lonely with the TV as their main form of company. Many have been dog lovers all their lives but now find themselves unable to care for a dog. Wag & Company volunteers are dog lovers too and know that it could just as easily be one of us or a family member; life changes fast. So, with just an hour or two a week we provide some company and that much missed love of a dog. By "Walking for Wag" you are helping to make sure this can happen regularly and safely for the elderly in need across our region.
