We are a small charity with a big ambition set up in memory of Oscar Cole who died very suddenly aged just 16 months in June 2014. We are helping to bring the future of Healthcare to children by utilising the latest technologies such as data science, artificial intelligence and digital solutions.

Story

Oscar Cole passed away in June of 2014 age 16 months.  His parents, Hannah and David, have set up ThinkingofOscar to raise money in Oscars memory to help sick kids and their parents through their hospital experience starting with vein finders to help doctors and nurses take blood.

As I considered ways to raise money towards their charity I thought about how could I stop myself from wasting time and money on "bargains" and contribute towards ThinkingofOscar plus raise awareness for this amazing charity.

Every year I waste hours browsing through websites and shops to look for bargains and end up making utterly useless purchases for stuff I just don't need.

I would like to use my page as a way of asking you to nominate someone (or yourself) who could benefit from a 3 month personal shopping embargo.  If you think they could last a month then contribute £10 if they are successful then contribute for months 2 and 3 however if you want to challenge them to 3 months then contribute £30.

You can of course nominate yourself and contribute for the amount of time you believe you can abstain from flashing the cash.  That's what I am doing and I have already committed £30 to kick this off.
