What am I raising money for?

The Spencer Club!

I have been associated with the Spencer Club for 15 years and am trying to do my bit towards raising £150,000 to bring our crumbling shack of a clubhouse into the 21st century. Our sports facilities are now brilliant thanks to the efforts of tennis, hockey, cricket and squash members, and we are now able to give competitive sporting opportunities to about 1800 regular players of all ages. 

Sadly the changing and social facilities (including my working space!) have not kept pace, and we find ourselves again limited in what we can achieve by the state of the buildings. 

The aim of this re-furb is to deliver a substantial re-working of our current space for members including a proper entrance to the club, better storage facilities, improved toilet/showering facilities & a professional bar / kitchen & clubroom space
