Story
Before his untimely passing at the TT last year, ‘Shoey’ was an avid supporter of the Braddan-based organisation, whose main aim has been to create specialised accommodation that will open up the island to visitors with disabilities.
With their funds already committed to the construction of extra apartments, and with partner Janet’s blessing, the JDF have launched a separate appeal for the Paul Shoesmith Memorial Bench, which will be situated next to the one already commemmorating Simon Andrews.
"Paul was truly one of the largest personalities in the TT paddock and his character shone through in everything that he did. He made an enormous impact on everyone who met him, not only through his racing but his larger than life personality, his incredible generosity and willingness to help anyone. He was a great ambassador for the TT Races and his loss is hugely felt by everyone associated with the event and the Isle of Man."
