Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I have been raising funds for HERIB (a local charity which supports people with sight loss) for nearly four years now in memory of my wonderful mother Ida Rose who herself lost most of her sight and who is the inspiration behind my fundraising.
In the past I have organised themed party evenings, book sales, car boot stalls, collections, cake sales, face painting stalls and more to raise money.
In 2015 I took on, and completed, my biggest challenge to date the Great North Run (a half marathon/13.1 miles) but now I want to go one step further and run a whole marathon! We have been training throughout winter in all kinds of weather and in the darkness too. No matter how cold or soaked through we have kept on going.
So................... on 10th April 2016 I will be running 26.2 miles around Greater Manchester and I hope I can count on your support. No donation is too small(or too big! :-))
To help reach my fundraising target of £2,000.00, I will also be hosting stalls at other events to raise funds, cake sales and bag packing and have done a Wild West Night too to raise money. I will keep you all updated on my training and fundraising progress up to the marathon.
