Story
Thank you for visiting my page. I’ve spent the last 2 years dressing up every Friday to cheer up the villagers of Sampford Peverell whilst Covid rocked our lives and then to cheer up my best friend Tina Pengelly who was diagnosed with a soft tissue Sarcoma after already battling breast cancer.
It was always the plan to have a fancy dress ball when her treatment came to an end but late last year we learned that the Sarcoma had spread to her lungs and yesterday, 9 May 2022, my beautiful brave friend lost her battle.
I am passing the baton to my good friend Steve who is running an ultramarathon in August and using it to support me and raise money for this charity too. We want to raise as MUCH money as possible in Tinas memory so anything you can give is very much appreciated.
Sarcoma UK receive NO GOVERNMENT FUNDING so for that reason we are supporting Sarcoma UK, a national charity that funds vital research, offers support for anyone affected by sarcoma cancer and campaigns for better treatments. Sarcoma is a type of cancer that develops in the bone and soft tissue. It is difficult diagnose and one of the hardest to treat. By supporting me, we can help change this. Your donation will help researchers find answers, keep our Support Line open, and raise awareness to improve treatment and standards of care. Thank you for your support.
