My name is sophie and for a while now I’ve been looking at things in a different way. I have come to realise that me and my friends are incredibly privelleged. We have all the things we need to live happy fulfilled lives and it made me think about those who face challenges everyday. It made me realise that for some, what I take for granted would for them  be something incredibly special. 

I want to give something back and raise awareness for the work of the hospice. So .... I’m going to shave my head to raise funds to support the work they do. Those who know me know I have a mane of long blonde hair. It will grow back. Some children will never have that luxury. So I am donating the hair that is cut off to the little princess trust - a charity that makes wigs for children with cancer. The money raised from my head shave will go to the hospice. 

This will take place in school during my lunch break as this will ensure everyone is aware of the cause I’m supporting.
