Every year nearly 500 babies need special care from East Surrey Hospital at the very start of their lives. We are transforming an overnight room for parents of premature babies to stay alongside their baby before they are well enough to go home.

Story

Every year nearly 500 babies need special care from East Surrey Hospital at the very start of their lives. Some need to stay in hospital for months before they are well enough to go home. East Surrey Hospital are building a brand new unit so they can provide the best possible care to more babies and parents; including top of the range neonatal incubators, which enhance the comfort of babies, and allow easier contact between parents and their baby, alongside helping to create comfortable family rooms which provide vital rest for those who stay in the unit.

Myself and Barbara are running 10k on the 15th of September to help raise money for this amazing cause. We have both witnessed the outstanding care that is provided within the neonatal unit at East Surrey during our midwifery training and want to help in anyway we can to support the women in our care and their new babies. Please help us by donating anything you can, thank you 💜
