Last year I took part in the Memory Walk to raise money for Alzheimer's Society and this year I wanted to push myself to do something even bigger to raise money for the same Charity which is very close to my heart. I will be doing a Skydive!!!!

My Nan was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s/Mixed Dementia in January 2021, although we started to notice changes in her behaviour around 3 years ago.

It is so sad to watch her struggle on a daily basis and also witness how tough it has been on my Grandad who has been married to her for almost 63 years.

My Mum and Uncle care for her and support my Grandad on a daily basis to keep her in her safe home, surrounded by her close by family and friends.

She’s not the Nan that Me, my Sister and Cousin remember growing up, who was always there to help us and support us. We are all witnessing a small part of her fade away each day which is heart-breaking.

I will be completing the Skydive alongside my sister on the 7th August 2022.

Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever. They are creating a society where those affected by dementia are supported, accepted and able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.

I am aiming to raise £400, so if you would like to support me and help me raise money for such an amazing cause that would be much appreciated. I want to do everything I can to help find a cure for this cruel disease, that affects lots of people and families around the world.
