Story

On the 26th April 2015, I will be hauling my (not particularly fit!) self around the London Marathon’s 26-mile course to raise money for Motor Neurone Disease. I’m aiming to raise £3,500 to support people like my Grandad, Jack Webster, who lost his long battle with the disease in 2009.

MND is a very cruel disease that leaves people unable to walk, talk or feed themselves, whilst their minds remain fully functioning.  It kills 5 people every day in the UK. The South East Essex branch of the MND supported our family by providing practical advice and supplying specialist equipment. The MND association also funds vital research intro causes, treatments and a cure for MND.

Despite recent awareness, MND is still very underfunded and far too little is known about the disease, which is why our support is needed, and every donation – no matter how small – counts.
