Story

My name is Elena, I'm from Leicester and very soon I will be living in a small glass box for 50 hours at the Tesco Extra store in Hamilton, Leicester.

I will enter the box at Noon THIS Thursday 11th May 2017, and if successful, will leave at 2pm on the Saturday.

So why am I doing this?

Working with the charity Caudwell Children, I am hoping my challenge will raise more awareness and understanding of autism - a condition that often struggles to attract much media attention.

A lot of children that the charity support have likened autism to 'living in a glass box' - the sense of isolation, the difficulty in communication and being starred at from all angles are often associated with the condition.

Staff and volunteers from Caudwell Children will be on hand throughout the 50 hours, and are keen to chat to anyone who wants to know more about the services they provide or would just like general information on autism.

Please support!

This is all about raising awareness and funds for autistic children across Leicester. Please help by sharing this page on social media and help me to get the word out!

Of course I'd like to see as many people in-store to keep me going throughout my 50 hours!

You can donate here on just giving or in-store at Tesco Extra, Maidenwell Avenue, Hamilton, Leicester, LE5 1BJ.

Many thanks,

Elena
