Cancer is a crap enough thing for anyone to have to endure and that's reason enough to raise funds for vital research against this offensive illness.

But the BRCA2 gene runs in my family affecting the people I love dearly. So I am fundraising for Cancer Research UK because one day those people may well rely upon the benefit of its research, including my own little girls when they grow up.

So today I'll run 5k, in July I'll run 10k and in October i'll run 13.1 miles. It's the least I can do.
