The Children’s Anorectal Physiology Service (CAPS) is a service which supports children with bowel problems such as constipation and soiling. These symptoms have an impact on their quality of life. 

CAPS has been running for over a year now and it has managed to get support from charities and grants, but we still need your support to get more equipment for the service such as biofeedback which teaches children bowel exercises using visual aids. 

This event also has a personal side - a close member of my family suffered from a bowel condition which is why I have dedicated my profession towards it. I know up close the impact it has on the patient and family members. Living with a bowel condition can be difficult, embarrassing and life altering: but with the right support we can make a difference.

I chose the Vegan challenge for a number of reasons:  something different; promote healthy eating and it’s going to be a challenge during the Christmas period!
