As a pediatrician with an interest in Paediatric Oncology I have experienced first hand what cancer can do to children and their families. I decided I wanted to help change this in anyway I could.

 I recently joined this battle when I got appointed as one of the CRUK clinical fellows at the University of Birmingham. CRUK has given me the opportunity to be a part of an amazing research project with the help of my supervisors (Dr Graham Taylor, prof Pam Kearns and prof Paul Murray). I would  therefore, like to support CRUK work by raising money and donating it to such an important organisation. 

It was always my dream to run the Athens Authentic Marathon. All  42,195 meters of it.. First person to ever run it was over 2,500 years ago! This is not going to be easy as the course has many uphill parts (more info for the course can be found here: https://www.athensauthenticmarathon.gr/site/index.php/en/event-en/races-en/marathon-en/13-marathon-race-course-info-en)
I am training really hard,  doing around 25 miles a week and building my strength. Would like to thank you all for your donations.  Will see you at the finish line!
