Story
The Elephants Went in 4x4 are raising money to support a life-changing water project in Mozambique.
Who will this affect?
50% of the targeted area (Manica Provence) still have no access to safe water. Women &girls spend up to five hours a day collecting water for all uses from scoop holes, streams & rivers. Fewer than 20% of those in the project area have access to sanitation facilities & in large schools the average number of pupils using each the toilet is 290 &, with no water source, there are no handwashing facilities, resulting in adverse health & cognitive outcomes & increasing absenteeism due to preventable waterborne diseases.
What we can do?
On our journey, we are going to visit the project communities and get hands-on with the project, helping out in every way possible. Documenting to you the donor where your money has gone.
If possible, we are going to get our hands dirty and help with the project spending a few weeks at the sight.
