12-year-old Peter was diagnosed with neuroblastoma in early 2019. Devastatingly he relapsed in August 2020 after being clear of disease for six months. Since January 2022, he has been enrolled on the DFMO study in Charlotte.

Story

A couple of years ago a nice man from down the road who we’d never really spoken to offered to give us their climbing frame. I assumed it was because his children had grown out of it, but when I asked he told me that 11-year-old Peter was diagnosed with neuroblastoma in early 2019, which had affected his spine, therefore he couldn’t walk.  Devastatingly he relapsed in August 2020 after being clear of disease for 6 months. His family are fundraising for further treatment abroad either to get Peter back into remission or to try and keep the cancer away if his treatment goes to plan. This could cost hundreds of thousands of pounds. Stuff like this can happen to anyone of us, so whilst I’m one of the lucky ones this is my little bit to help. If Peter can go through all that cruel treatment with a smile on his face, then I can prance over hot coals for him. Thanks for reading x
