I have chosen Guildford Home-Start as my next charity because as a mother and grandmother I know how important the early years are in a child's development. I also know that parenting isn't easy! There are so many pressures on parents today and it is easy to become overwhelmed. I think Home-Start do a wonderful job providing one-to-one support in the home to young families experiencing difficulties.

I also like being able to support a local charity helping the local community - knowing and building a relationship with the people involved and knowing where the money is going.
