In April 2025, I will be putting my running legs to good use and take on the London Landmarks Half Marathon for Refugee Action.

If it wasn't for an open border policy welcoming Egyptians to Brazil in 1958, when my mother and our family migrated, I wouldn't be here today.

I believe no human being should be illegal and that people seeking safety and a better life deserve to be welcomed with dignity and compassion.

Refugee Action has been standing up for refugees since 1981. They deliver frontline services for people who hope to find safety in the UK, and they campaign for refugees’ rights.
