Track Lighting Replacement
Campaign by Welwyn Wheelers (RCN HMRC Registered)
Welwyn Wheelers are supporting Better Leisure in the upgrade of velodrome lighting. Without this, evening use of velodrome will be compromised and winter training and track league could cease. Help us raise £12,000 to secure our future!

Story

To help raise funds for the Track Flood Lighting campaign, during September Elise will be riding the equivalent of the distance from Edinburgh to London. This is a total distance of 621km (386 miles in old money!).

It would be great if you could spare any money to support Elise's challenge. Details of the reason for the fund raising are below.

Welwyn Wheelers have successfully supported Better Leisure (GLL) in obtaining funding from British Cycling to replace the velodrome lighting. The existing lighting, which is not only obsolete, needs to be upgraded to meet the new British cycling specification. Without significant investment, evening usage of the velodrome would be compromised meaning events such as track league would cease. As a result Welwyn Wheelers have committed to raising a minimum of £12,000 towards the £85,000 installation cost as part of the funding agreement. This is where we need your help! If your able to support this initiative and help us further secure the future of the site please donate. We only have a small window in which to raise the funds so please help in anyway you can....every penny counts! Thanks in advance Welwyn Wheelers
