Story

After two years of travelling around the country racing my Shetland pony we’re going to race at Olympia in December and I am raising sponsorship for the Bob Champion Cancer Trust.

The charity raises funds to investigate what causes prostate, testicular and bladder cancer and aims ultimately to eradicate all male cancers.

Bob Champion is a former jump jockey who at the height of his career was diagnosed with testicular cancer in 1979. He was given 8 months to live, fought back and went on to win the 1981 Grand National on Aldaniti.

He is an inspiration to us all and over the past year has attended many of the races giving me and all the other Shetland Pony Grand National jockeys huge amounts of encouragement and support. Please help me raise as much as possible for his charity.

Thank you,

Elissa x
