Doorstep Library brings books and the magic of reading directly to the homes of children in some of London's most disadvantaged areas. 

Early years literacy is in crises in the UK. 1 in 4 eleven year olds leave school unable to read or write properly. These children are at a massive disadvantage. Reading for pleasure is the single biggest predictor of success in life (UNESCO) and Doorstep Library recognises literacy as a tool that can empower families to transcend their circumstances and change their story.

1 out of every 3 children in the UK has never been read bedtime story, and 1 in 8 doesn't own a single book at home. Let's change these statistics together!
