Liz and Jodi are jumping for Ronald MacDonald House, Guy's & St Thomas'

Jumping for Penny Carter · 18 May 2016
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
At the beginning of 2012, a week after her birth, Penny became very sick and was rushed to the Evelina Children's Hospital part of Guy's and St. Thomas' in London, many miles from her home. Our youngest grandchild was critically ill and it was a very anxious time for her parents Sam and Angela. It quickly became obvious that she would not be coming home any time soon and the amazing Ronald MacDonald House gave Sam and Angela a room where they could stay close to the hospital, free of charge. Penny was at the Evelina for 6 whole months! Five years on she is a bright and happy little girl who is nearing the end of her first year at school.
Having just turned 65 years old I felt it was a great opportunity to do something to celebrate that milestone and to raise some money for a charity that does so much in helping support parents of very sick children at such a stressful time for them. (see below)
Guy's and St Thomas' is where it all started for Ronald McDonald House Charities in the UK. Our very first House opened to support the families of children staying at Guy's and St Thomas' in 1990. The House accommodates up to 20 families in a warm and peaceful setting – away from the stresses of the ward. Families have the use of self-catering kitchens, lounge areas, laundry facilities, a playroom and the garden, meaning that they can make themselves feel right at home. - See more at: http://www.rmhc.org.uk/our-houses/guys-and-st-thomas/#sthash.JJwUeCUH.dpuf
