Every two hours, someone in the UK will become paralysed. Globally, it is estimated that 15.4 million people are living with paralysis. At Spinal Research our vision is to create a world where paralysis can be cured, no matter when the injury occurred or where in the world.

Story

This year I am running 12 marathons in 2012 and then finishing with a final 200 mile ultramarathon from Newcastle to Blackpool.

My two chosen charities are:

Spinal Research, as a small dedication to my Dad who suffers from a rare neurological condition called Cauda Equina, by fundraising for this charity you are contributing towards reserch that may help to end the permanence of paralysis in the future.

Rape Crisis (England and Wales), a more personal charity, to raise awareness to others that there is help out there for those who have been victims of rape, sexual abuse or sexual assault.

Any donation is greatly appreciated!
