Elizabeth's St Sigfrid's Way

I did it!!! Yesterday we clocked up almost 13 miles in beautiful Staffordshire countryside. I struggled a bit with the heat when the sun came out but managed to have sufficient water. However my forearms are now a little burnt, but that is the only side effect. I felt like giving up at 8 miles but the good company kept me going.
Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever. Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.
I have fond memories of working as a mental health chaplain with people affected by dementia. I also know people in my church family who have suffered from this. One of my churches is working towards being Dementia Friendly. I'm doing this to show my support and to raise money for Alzheimer's Society.
