Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I never personally knew Amelia Leclercq, but a very close friend of mine was a cousin to her. Amelia meant a lot to her, and still does, even more every day. Amelia had Aplastic Anaemia which is a very rare disease, which I had never even heard of. Amelia was only 14, when she tragically passed away last year, due to Aplastic Anaemia. Aplastic Anaemia is a very life threatening disease of the bone marrow which kills off the platelets to clot blood, red blood cells for energy and white to fight infection. Very little is known of this disease, so it is very important to raise awareness. Amelia remained brave and strong throughout.  Even though I never met Amelia , I have heard that she was beautiful, talented and (according to her cousin) insane! Amelia's family were devastated to lose her, but by donating, you can prevent more lives being taken from this cruel disease. I am hoping to raise as much money possible by busking for her charity, as it is a great cause. My first event is on Saturday 30th August 2014 at the Newport Pagnell Craft and Retro Fair outside the Tickford Arcade from 10.30-12.30. This is an amazing charity and it would be amazing if you could come along and donate. Thank you.
