Sue Ryder supports people through the most difficult times of their lives. Whether that’s a terminal illness, the loss of a loved one or a neurological condition – they’re there when it matters. Their doctors, nurses and carers give people the compassion and expert care they need to help them live the best life they possibly can.
In the last few years my dear family and friends have been affected by cancer and seen their loved ones spend their last days at Thorpe Hall Hospice in Peterborough.
My sister in law Caroline passed away at Thorpe Hall in November, she only spent a few days their but the staff where on hand to support Ashley , Alfie , Emma, Steve , Julia and Brian throughout this incredibly difficult time. Thorpe Hall continues to provide support for the family.
I want to be able to thank Thorpe Hall for the care they gave to Emma( my sister in laws mum) during her last days and the support and compassion they gave to her family in these difficult days , for Tanya , Chris ,Paul and Claire.
Geoff was cared for at Thorpe Hall in September 2018 , Ann and her family were overwhelmed with the support and care given to both Geoff and his family as they sat with him in his last days. Ann has continued to volunteer and support other family members facing the same difficult times that she did.
I know that I am very lucky , I have not been directly affected but I want to be able to say thank you on behalf of my family and friends who I care for dearly.
I am not the fastest runner or the fittest but every penny I raise will continue to help support families at their most difficult times in life.
Thank you
