Ten years ago we lost our beautiful daughter Sophie. Known and remembered as Sophie Sunshine to many,  Sophie was an inspiration. When Sophie passed away just functioning was unbearable. Acorns cared for us the week after Sophie died. They fed us, looked after James (our eldest child) and helped us to prepare Sophie’s funeral. They did everything and more for a heartbroken and shattered family that literally had no idea of what to do. We will forever be grateful to them for how they helped us. 

As well as helping families who’s children have passed away, acorns support life limited children everyday within the hospice. The care they give is truly fantastic and the hospice is a vibrant happy place full of laughter. 

Acorns also support the siblings of ill children and this was a massive help to James who received specialist counselling at school.

I want to raise as much money as possible to help others in Sophie’s memory and I want to thank you all in advance for your support. #runningforsophie ❤️
