Children with life-limiting conditions often spend a lot of their time at hospital appointments and undergoing treatment. We know that the focus at this time can be on the medical condition, and this can make it extremely difficult for families to find the time and energy to arrange special experiences for them all to enjoy together. The Mockingbird Trust, aims to arrange trips and events for the whole family, taking the organisational and financial strain away in the hope of giving some relief from the daily stresses being faced.

Anna loved to cycle, and looked forward to the weekends when she would go out on her bike for long cycle rides with her Dad. In 2014, they completed a Coast 2 Coast cycle ride in order to raise money for her trip to visit and teach in China. Our plan is to gather a group of keen cyclists and cycle the same route that they took in 2014, 140 miles in 3 days, from Whitehaven to Sunderland. The money raised for The Mockingbird Trust will be used to help children and their families to create special and long-lasting memories together. We will take care of the arrangements so that the family can be carefree and simply enjoy being together and create treasured memories.
