Story
John and I have signed up to the ‘Wee Wander’ Kilt Walk in Dundee. We are raising money to support ‘Sally’s Unstoppable Journey’ - a special fund created by the Bone Cancer Research Trust.
My daughter Sally was diagnosed with primary bone cancer in 2022. She has since undergone two limb salvage surgeries to remove a 20cm tumour from her leg. Sally’s femur has been replaced with a titanium implant.
Since her diagnosis Sally has been raising money for the BCRT to fund research in to kinder treatments and support bone cancer patients and their families
This walk is even more special because Sally will be joining us.
Thank you for your support.
The Bone Cancer Research Trust is dedicated to saving lives & improving outcomes for people affected by primary bone cancer. Despite being small, they fund more research projects exploring primary bone cancer than any other organisation. Other large UK cancer research charities do not prioritise bone cancer patients, in 2019 just 0.028% of their research spend went to bone cancer – not even close to 1%!
Last year alone, Bone Cancer Research Trust committed an incredible £807,824 to pioneering bone cancer research - to save lives!
