Since 2006, with Tearfund...

Over 29 million people have been reached through community development projects. These people now live in communities that can demonstrate longer term positive changes to their livelihoods, health, relationships and environment.

Over 300 unjust or harmful policies have been changed. Local, national and international policies and practices have been changed, resulting in transformation in the lives of poor and vulnerable people.

Over 12 million people have been supported post natural or man made disasters. These are people who can now face the future with hope – better prepared to rebuild their livelihoods and withstand future crises.

The money I raise for Tearfund, before 17 May will be matched by the UK government, up to £2million! Match funding from UK government will be used by Tearfund's partners in Pakistan to set up innovative waste recycling hubs. Not only will these hubs help tackle waste and plastic pollution, they will provide sustainable livelihoods and improve the living conditions in some of Pakistan's poorest slum communities. Every £42 doubled could provide waste collection, making people's local environment cleaner and safer.
