Fundraising for St Peter's Hospice
Story
Hi :)
I am challenging myself to a 5 day trek along the Great Wall of China to raise money for St. Peter’s hospice.
As you may or may not know, my mum stayed in St. Peter’s hospice at the end of her life in 2016. Putting aside the fact it was the worst time, none of us could have asked for a better place or lovelier people to support us.
Personally, I can’t speak highly enough of the hospice. The staff/volunteers made all the difference and having a comfortable, private room with a view (pictured below) was priceless.
My mum was great. Among many things, she appreciated Chinese culture, music and martial arts- she did Kung fu and Tai chi, occasionally teaching classes.
I just bloody miss her, and I know she would have loved to see China. At the end of the trek I can lay a stone in her memory as part of the wall’s restoration, which will be a nice end to the challenge and I can’t wait!
Please give what you can, no amount is too small!!!! It all adds up and it is of course a wonderful charity to support.

*St Peter's Hospice is Bristol's only adult hospice caring for local people with life-limiting illnesses. Our commitment is to improve the quality of life of patients while extending care and support to their families and loved ones. All of our care is provided free of charge, but it costs us around £20,000 a day to provide that care. For most of this money we rely on Gifts in Wills, donations, fundraising and our shops.
