Welcome to the UEA Kilimanjaro Challenge Campaign 2021! These incredible students are taking on the challenge of a lifetime all whilst helping in the fight against meningitis and septicaemia.

Story

In Sept 2022,, I will be climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, the world’s tallest freestanding mountain, its peak sitting at 5895m above sea level. My climb is in aid of the Meningitis Research Foundation; a charity which aims to research and raise awareness of Meningitis and Septicaemia. Meningitis and neonatal sepsis are the 2nd biggest infectious killer of children under the age of 5, affecting more than 2.8 million people every year and leaving many others with life altering impairments. MRF work to provide better access to vaccines, create health systems that can diagnose and treat children and they offer services to support the survivors. As a student paediatric nurse and seeing this all first-hand, it is something I feel really passionate about raising money for and making a global health priority! In order to make this challenge possible, I would really appreciate a donation, no matter how small, or help to spread the word and share my page. Thank youuu and here’s to getting to the top, spreading awareness and saving lives💜
