Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 2019 · 4 August 2019 ·

VSO will have some amazing riders taking part in RideLondon 2019. They will be supporting VSO's lifesaving work around the world by taking on the iconic 100 mile route made famous by the 2012 Olympics.

Story

I will be cycling 100 miles with VSO in August 2019 to improve Healthcare for those who most need it!

VSO is very close to my heart as in 2017 I worked
with a similar charity, ICS Tanzania, on a rural hygiene project.

VSO focuses largely on improving health in deprived areas- last year supplying 900,000 people with access to better healthcare. While I am lucky I have access to a stable, reliable healthcare system that have recently supported me a lot, there are many people, just like me, who have insufficient support. In fact, people in 24 developing countries across Africa,Asia and the Pacific.

VSO amazing projects include: Maternal and newborn health ( Ethiopia); Young girls sexual health services (Ethiopia); 3 tier HIV/AIDS response(South Africa).

As most of you know, while a keen runner, the last time I rode a bike was(plunging)straight into Leeds Canal so any sponsor is much appreciated towards my target of £500.00.
