Dear close and distant friends,

Sorry I am so inconsistent at staying in touch and have huge reservations about fb– as I am sure alot of you do too. Would be so good to hear how you're doing?

I’m turning 60 in 4 weeks time. Since parties and travel are off for now, it won’t be a chance to get together. I'm going to do a walk along the coast here as a fundraiser for my birthday.  I haven't been able for more than short walks since a severe covid-like illness in the winter left me deeply fatigued. So I'm aiming to build up gradually over the next month and then still won’t manage any impressive distance, but it will be a major challenge for me.

Really hope you’re all well despite these grim and scary times? Perhaps we can catch up with calls/ messages- or even snail-mail cards / letters? I’d Love to hear your news.
