Story
At the end of Summer 2025 our world was turned upside down when Ellia our oldest child who is 8.5 years old was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour. A brain biopsy, many MRI scans, a CT scan, many different tests and a huge number of needles later, Ellia is about to embark on 85 weeks worth of chemotherapy treatment to try and stabilise/shrink the brain tumour which she will live with for the rest of her life. In true style Ellia wants to make the loss of her hair through chemotherapy into a positive experience for others and has decided to donate her gorgeous hair to The Little princess trust. The charity will be providing a wig for Ellia to wear whilst going through treatment. Due to time constraints Ellia is actually having her hair cut on Monday 29th September so we are raising money in retrospect. We would be very grateful for any donations to support Ellia in her bravery and for all other children who will benefit from this wonderful charity. The Little Princess Trust provides wigs to children to help restore their confidence and identity. All costs, including the making, fitting, and styling of the wig, are met by the charity, and this free service is available to any young person up to the age of 24 with hair loss. As part of its Hair and Hope mission, The Little Princess Trust also funds childhood cancer research aiming to find kinder and more effective treatments.
