I am raising funds for a charity that is very close to my heart, Autism Parents Together. The charity provides support to children/young people aged 0-18, either diagnosed with or undergoing assessment for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

The charity supports parents/carers and siblings helping to reduce the social isolation of autistic children/young people and their families. The charity provides invaluable training sessions for parents/carers and also fun, exclusive events and activities, for children/young people and their siblings.

Facilities for such services are minimal, if non existent, and without charity's such as APT, the assessment and diagnosis journey of our young people would be a very lonely place.  The charity has a private support group for parents/carers which has been invaluable to our family, in gaining real life knowledge on ASD and other neurodiverse conditions. It is also a place to be supported, without judgement, from other parents who just "get it!".
