Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We will be taking part in the Dragon Boat Race on the 25th May at the Conningbrook Lakes to raise money for the Lord Whiskey Sanctuary Fund in Stelling Minnis. The charity solely runs on donations and the money they make at their tea rooms - I would recommend the banoffee pie if your passing!

Lord Whiskey are a charity that are very close to our heart. After some recent changes our Cat 'Karen' had to go into boarding and is currently being looked after by the team at Lord Whiskey.

The fund was named after the Founders Jack Russell 'Lord Whiskey' who was sadly put to sleep at the age of 22. Lord Whiskey needed extra care and this led Margaret setting up a sanctuary that could provide the time and expertise to cope with animals like Lord Whiskey.

They care for a variety of animals including; pigs, lambs, cats, dogs, horses, donkeys and many more! They board animals at a small fee per nights and take in homeless, injured or abused animals for caring and re-homing.

Please donate today to such a great cause - donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
