Don’t give up, give back · 17 February 2021

Centre 56 provides childcare, information and support for families who have suffered, or are at risk of suffering from, domestic abuse or a crisis situation. Its experience and understanding supports families to manage their situation, enabling them to flourish.

Story

During the pandemic, home should be the safest place in the world but unfortunately for some it is the most dangerous. According to statistics, there have been 20,000 more domestic violence reports across Merseyside since the first national lockdown.

Instead of giving something up for Lent, we have decided to give back!

Across Lent, we are going to walk the equivalent of the coast to coast trek (St Bee’s Head to Robin Hood’s Bay) which is approximately 151 miles. We have decided our charity of choice is Centre 56 which provides support to domestic abuse survivors.

We know this is a hard time for everyone so please only give what you can. Thank you everyone :)
