Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Back in 2007 my dad was murdered by a paranoid schizophrenic who was well known to the mental health services. My dad didn’t know the man and had never spoken to him. It was a unprovoked attack on a completly innocent man. Since then my family and I have been completely torn apart by the tragic events. My dads mum (my nan) was surprised at how little support the family received and they were stuck with what steps to take next. Luckily, my nan came across Julian Hendy who also in 2007, his father was killed by a psychotic man.
Julian Hendy set up a charity called hundred families. It aims to offer accurate information and practical advice for families bereaved by people with mental health problems along with evidence based resources for mental health professionals and others interested in serious violence by the mentally ill.
I will be doing a 10 mile walk in memory of my father, Daniel Quelch. And to also raise money and awareness for Julian and hundred families. Please take a look at the hundred families website. http://www.hundredfamilies.org And help to donate to the amazing charity.
