On March 11th 2012 I will be running the Cambridge half marathon in aid of The Cancer Research Charity. In September 2011, my dad tragically passed away with lung cancer so I really wanted to raise money for the charity to help with further research and treatment. Cancer survival rates have doubled in the last 40 years and their work has been at the heart of that progress. 

But Sadly, more than one in three of us will still get cancer at some point in our lives so there’s much more work to be done. Their vital research will help millions more people to survive this cruel disease and prevent tragic family situations like mine.
