Ellie is Cycling for Compton

Cycle for Compton · 1 May 2025 ·
Throughout May I will be Cycling for Compton, to help raise vital funds.
As a novice cyclist I am aiming to complete 100 miles during May, to really challenge myself, so any support you can give me will really spur me on.
While I cycle I'll be thinking of my friend and her family, as they are being supported by Compton Care at the moment. Her Dad, Steve, has been living with cancer for a number of years, and Compton have been offering support for him and the family for a while now.
As the time draws nearer for Steve to come and stay on the inpatient unit, its comforting to know how well looked after they will all be.
** Update ** Steve passed away just before I started the challenge. He was comfortable and peaceful, surrounded by his family. They have told me how grateful they are to Compton Care for how they looked after all of them. I will be thinking of them all everytime I cycle.
For over 40 years, Compton Care have been providing specialist palliative and end of life care to patients, and support for their families, helping them to navigate every aspect of life with a life limiting condition.
Every penny raised through Cycle for Compton will be used to help patients and support their families.
Thank you so much for supporting me in this challenge! 💛💛
