Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page. Liverpool Hope University students participate in different projects to help global communities facing inequality and to tackle issues of social justice.

As part of this, a group of 5 students, including myself, will travel to Piliyandala SOS village, Sri Lanka, to help run a summer camp to build self-esteem in orphans (aged 3-18). The SOS village provides support for vulnerable families and helps neglected and abandoned children access basic services e.g. education and nutrition. 

The group and I will travel to Sri Lanka for three weeks in August 2019 and lead a variety of academic, sports and arts-based activities as part of the children’s summer camp. We will be living within the village and supporting the community in whatever ways they need during our time. I need to raise a minimum of £1500 to finance this project; this contributes to resources for the project and supporting the community in Piliyandala.
