Story

👟 I’m running the Loch Ness Marathon for SAMH – and I need your support! 🧠🩷

On 28th September 2025, I’ll be attempting to run my very first marathon and I’m doing it to raise money for Scottish Action for Mental Health (SAMH), a charity that’s incredibly close to my heart.

Mental health has been a personal journey for me. I’ve faced my own struggles and walked alongside people I love through their own. SAMH provides life saving support and services across Scotland, helping people feel less alone, and I’m proud to run every mile in support of that mission.

Training so far hasn’t been easy. I’ve faced 4.30am alarms, half marathons in scorching sunshine, plenty of ice packs, late night miles after busy days and even 1 trip to A and E (hopefully the one and only!) The high mileage has pushed me both physically and mentally and is only going to get more taxing (but being able to eat more to fuel the distances has definitely brought a smile to my face 😊)

However I am a determined little sausage, and so ready to take on this challenge! Any donation you’re able to make would mean the world to me. Every donation, share and cheer will honestly go such a long way, and will give me motivation to keep putting one foot in front of the other!

Let’s do this – for our minds, our loved ones, and for SAMH. 🙌🏻

Thank you,

Ellie x
