Story
Hello everyone!
Back in April, Rosie Stringer managed to convince me to run a half marathon with her. I have never wanted to do anything like this before however I thought it would be fun plodding round with Rosie and thought I may as well give it a go. Unfortunately Rosie has injured her knee so badly she now cannot run at all...therefore I shall be doing it on my own!! I'm running for both of us now, so I am determined to give it my best shot.....
On the 11th October, I will be running the Royal Parks Half Marathon, (even though as most of you know I am not a natural born runner!) and I have chosen to support Cardiac Risk in the Young. CRY is a charity that offers help, support and counselling to families where there has been a sudden cardiac death of an apparently fit and healthy young person. As well as this, it supports research and screening programmes into detecting cardiac abnormalities that could lead to Sudden Death Syndrome. It's a brilliant charity and one that is very close to my heart.
I have been plodding away for a few months now and any donation no matter how small will be so appreciated - I promise to try and do you proud.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
Thank you very much,
Ellie xxxx
